Actors for Footloose for The MUNY's 2025 Season (See breakdown below). Actors are cast on a per show basis and not as part of a repertory company. All performers are signed to an Equity MSUA contract. Actors of all ethnicities, backgrounds, gender identities, body types, and abilities for all available roles are encouraged to audition. Ren McCormack - A teenager from Chicago who is fun, quick-witted and loves to dance, with an out-going personality.

Reverend Shaw Moore - The powerful, local church leader and Ariel's parent. Stuck in their ways.

Ariel Moore - Rebellious child of Reverend Moore. Smart, a bit of a baddie with an edge.

Vi Moore – Shaw’s wife and Ariel's parent.

Rusty - Ariel's best friend; a bit scatterbrained, sweet, fun, knows everything about everything.

Willard Hewitt - A simple country bumpkin with a warm heart and a big smile who befriends Ren.

Ethel McCormack - Ren's parent who would do anything for their son.

Chuck Cranston – The local bad boy and Ariel's hook up.

Urleen - Ariel's friend; the smart one of the group.

Wendy Jo - Ariel's friend.

Company: Townspeople, parishioners, students, etc.

If you play an instrument, feel free to bring/play for this show. Some characters will be played by actor/musicians based on who comes out to audition!
